Platon Dneprovsky was again invited to read a course on User Experience for students of the Higher School of Economics majoring in e-business and Internet projects. On 30 January Platon will give an introductory workshop during an open day event in the HSE.

On Saturday, 14 November World Usability Day conference took place in Moscow. UIDesign Group experts – Alexey Kopylov and Artem Ostapets – spoke on effective ways of prototyping and review of Formula-1 steering wheels. Organizers are preparing video recordings of all the talks. So far presentations and photographs are available.

The UXalliance will celebrate World Usability Day 2009 by unveiling the results of Global/Local Monitor for Airlines. Local user experience professionals from member companies (including UIDesign Group) evaluated how well global airlines websites are localized in terms of visual design, typography, terminology, etc.

Handbook of Global User Research by Robert Schumacher has been published. Congratulations to the UXalliance partners and Natalia Kirillova, a Managing Partner of UIDesign Group, who took part in the project. The book was created by 53 contributors from 23 companies representing 20 countries.
